just one more time.

So Thursday was actually the last day for the seniors at my school. But unfortunately I was gone half the day because my AP Chemistry went to an elementary school to teach science. We were gone for 2nd and 3rd period and we came back in the middle/beginning of 4th period (last period of the day) and most of didn't want to go to class so we just hung in the back, where all the science teachers had their offices. We had to stay super quiet. Well we just hung around until the AP Calculus class had finished their last test, then we went to visit them across the hall. Most of my senior friends were in there. We just were signing yearbooks, exchanging last minute senior ball pictures and taking crazy pictures. I took their class picture for them. Three guys picked Mr. Yee (who is super short, shorter than me!) on the last couple pictures. It was really cute and sad at the same time. I hugged everyone a million times. I was "sad" but I did not cry. I knew in my heart it wasn't the LAST time quite yet.

Me and Eunsong.
Eunsong is GOING BACK TO KOREA for her senior year. :(

One of my favorite seniors, CORINNE!!!
There is no one like her, haha.

So after school, the bell rang and the seniors were going crazy. I guess some seniors had cans of WHIPPED CREAM so they were whip creaming everyone and throw their backpacks in the air. It was really cute. And again...SAD. Again I gave a million hugs, signed more yearbooks. But there is still graduation and my party I am throwing for the ONE LAST TIME (that is the theme). After school, went home and ate then went to work. I worked from 4:30-10. Around 8ish Matt came with some of the seniors (the super smart ones that i dont know so well). Around 9ish, it was pretty quiet. Then I saw Debbie walk through the door with a couple friends. She was like "we came to see you". Then I saw more people coming; Mindy, Corinne, Kelly, etc. Then EVERYONE just swelled the place. All the crazy asian/filipino seniors that I knew came to hang at red berry and just swelled the place. I was really happy. They got frozen yogurt and we all were just hanging around. It was super fun. Though I hope my boss was not annoyed that I was hanging with my friends instead of "working" though I did not have much work to do. It was pretty crazy. Then most of the people left around 9:50 and I had to clean. But some people were still left and they hung outside and they helped me put in all the tables. I wish they would be there everyday to help me put the tables inside.

I am really sad how blurry this is,
because it is such a cute picture with most of my senior friends.

Why do I look so lame with my uniform on!

But there is still graduation. Then my party. Then it will be the last time. The last time. I don't want to even think about. I kind of want to cry once so I can feel less guilty about not crying. :) But I am sure they want to see smiling more than crying.

But as I was watching everything unfold and laughing with my senior friends, I felt sad because I could see in them, US. MY FRIENDS. the ones that are juniors now. I am sad we aren't as crazy as the seniors, but next year we have an EXCUSE TO BE just as crazy and immature. But I see them scrambling to do everything and do it with everyone and it just reminds me how close I am to doing the same thing. And I know this summer is the last summer because I have a feeling next summer, a lot of us are going to be gone, out of the country, or too busy to hang after senior year. SO THIS SUMMER MUST BE THE BEST!

IT MUST!

dude, i just heard this song from perezhilton.
everyone has gone techno.

CUTEST SONG EVER.

je ne suis pas mademoiselle stresseé

because kristina is mademoiselle stresseé!

it's funny that we still have homework!!! well, actually it's not, but it just feels weird. today were the seniors last day at school, and i feel a little sad although i did not know too many of them that well. but its so odd. everything is winding down, and yet i just don't how to feel. to be honest, i just feel blah everyday.

i think i'm gonna have a very bad grade in pre-calculus this semester... and i'm not ashamed to tell everyone about it! because really, i deserve that grade, whatever it is that i'm going to get, and i'm going to welcome it (even if it is an F. OMFG, yes i know. the worst grade i've ever gotten in my life--the worst grade anyone can ever possibly get in their lives. but anyways,) i've realized that math is simply a weakness of mines, and i'm not afraid to just admit it to the world. yes, i am lazy and did not really try to improve my math skills at all. well actually i did, but i know i didn't try hard enough, because if i did i could've. and yet, for some reason i'm still not ashamed! i'm not ashamed... because i know i have other great aspects to me that other people don't have. and i know i've done great things this semester that i'm sure a lot of other people can't do as well as i can do, or simply can't even do at all.

for example: ------------------------
MY JUNIOR PROJECT! oh my god. that is the biggest accomplishment i've made this year, and i'm so freaking proud of myself. it didnt really seem that hard anymore by the end of it all... but the process was so tedious. and i've gotta say, i think i did a pretty damn good job. actually i've always done a good job in cosgrove's literature class (besides that one time i slacked on my data sheet for my junior project and got a C in his class-- which was lame because that assignment was the only thing in our grade). Like at the beginning of the year, when we had our "All the Pretty Horses" essay; i got an A on it!! and few people got the 94% i did :)

I also improved in AP PHYSICS!!! I'm confident i'm going to get a B in that class this semester. and i'm also confident that i did a good job presenting my science project this past wednesday! not to mention i'm thinking i did alright on that ap test... although i'm not going to say i'm confident i passed it :| so maybe i didn't do alright, but that's alright!

I ALSO SCORED OKAY ON MY SATs! yeah, basically. it's obviously not the best score ever, but i scored in the average area for UC DAVIS' incoming freshmens :D (as the statistics on collegboard states). so i guess i did pretty good for taking it for the first time.
------------------------

okay. so basically my point is: i'm only going to concentrate on the positive aspects of my life. i think it's great if you are a well-rounded person, and are good at everything. but i think it's even greater if you're able to focus yourself in on the things that you are really good at and you do enjoy doing. that way you won't only be good in those areas, but you can be super amazing in them. and that way you can stay committed to them and be passionate about them, so you will be able to make a great contribution to this wonderful, wonderful world!!

well anyways,

here's a little update on my life!

our yearbooks this year.

i found these cool mountain dew bottles in fresno last weekend.

garu died. and came back alive with a new type of flower. the other ten flowers dried away because i neglected to water them :| i still dont know what kind of plant he is.

my siblings are so odd, but they've been rooming with me everynight. since i'm a scaredy-cat! my grandpa scares me with his scary stories...

my little baby cousin is so cute. he loved the chickens. unfortunately we ate them. yes, we're beasts and asian. it's only a fact.

more fantabulous photos from fresno this weekend, of my cousins. i developed them in photography, for my photography sequence. (this is not the whole sequence)

im already going to go broke.

I just love their ubercoolness. And their tucked in shirts and cute skirts!

So I am getting paid next week and of course I am putting majority of my money away into the bank, but I am at least leaving a couple bucks for myself to "reward" myself for my hard work.
However, I am having a hard time deciding what I really need because I WANT a lot of things, even if I DONT NEED THEM. You know how that goes.

WHAT I DO NEED:
  1. shoes but SHOES ARE EXPENSIVE. i want to buy a bunch of cheap cute sandals/flats. but can someone explain to me why those gladiator sandals are so popular? i am just not into them. but im not really into showing off my feet because i have huge ugly big feet (i am a size 8.5 in womens) so feet are gross to me.
  2. shorts. i have a ton of skirts but i need some shorts. i really like tailored shorts or just regular jean shorts but i really want some pumpkin shorts!

WHAT I REALLY WANT:
  1. dresses. it is summer and i really want a colorful and cute summer dress. or something very simple but still pretty.

The problem is that I don't really want to go splurging because I am really a cheapskate. So it is hard for me to go and spend like $20 bucks on a teeshirt. I am just not one of those people who can spend a couple hundred on really cool shoes, I just can't do it. I am really good at finding the right price so it will be quite an adventure when I go shopping next weekend. :]

But I really like these bows that they are selling online. They would be the cutest accesories for a simple outfit.

So I think the whole "glow in the dark" and retro neon colors has spread to Korea. Influence from Kanye West? Maybe. But Koreans spin it their own way and it is still super cool.

definetly kanye west influenced idea in the glow in the dark shoes!

eight days left.. and im counting

I feel bad for neglecting the blog a bit but I have nothing interesting to write lately haha. My life has been pretty simple and my new job at RED BERRY has been keeping me pretty damn busy. I work a lot lately. That is a good and bad thing. Good thing = money yay. Bad thing = tireeedd!! But I don't really have much homework to worry about. Just cruising for EIGHT MORE DAYS (minus weekends) and it is SUMMER.

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? SUMMER '08 ARE YOU REALLY THAT CLOSE?
you really are. and i am amazed. and also sad. because that summer is really too close and really too short. it really will be. i just want a good summer.
i dont want to have expectations because it is always better to have no expectations.
like last summer, i had no expectations whatsoever, and it was a good summer.
a good simple summer. that i truely enjoyed.

Well since I probably getting paid NEXT WEEK and I have worked at least over 20 hours...counting hours... at least 24 hours x 8 dollars = $ 192 ALMOST $200 already!!! But I am putting a lot in the bank and probably going to limit myself to like... $20-40 dollars for shopping/partying/eating out stuff. I really need some shoes and some clothes. Hopefully I can blow $20 with some good thrift shopping and still get a lot of clothes which actually does happen. I need to save my tips and stop going out to eat with my friends.

Funny pic for the day since it has been ages since I posted a picture or music.

Picture with my AP CHEM sisters and our really cool substitute teacher

freeeeeeeeeee at last!

so today i presented my junior project--AND I WAS SO NERVOUS!

but i guess it all went good. last night i spent three hours just figuring out what i was going to say, and practicing it (twice) in front of my mom and my sister. my mom was critiquing me and telling me what i wasn't doing well with... (ex: need more eye contact, stop saying "umm," slow down) but overall she said i did well. and basically was impressed!

but that doesn't matter. i was nervous out of my mind today anyways! however i think i did okay. i could feel my thigh muscles trembling the whole time, but apparently my voice wasn't shaky, and people told me they liked it. so yayy! IT'S FINALLY OVER!! actually, i'd do it again if i could, just for fun.

ahhh. tommy's junior project is due tomorrow. he's suchha booty! he hasn't finished his powerpoint yet :| oh well. i think he'll do good anyways, since he's probably good with presenting. hahaha.

IM GOING TO BUY MY YEARBOOK AFTERALL! and i'm happy.
i really want to go shopping at target. i heard they've gone green :) and they're clothes are just simply cute, so yeah.

basically, i'm freeee!! but only until finals roll around.
and then i'm REALLY FREEEE!!!

(about a week ago - my momma's old dress)

lets celebrate.

So I finally have a JOB!!! Yay for me. I am working at Red Berry. It is a new frozen yogurt place that just opened by my Safeway. It is really close to my house, like five minutes so it is sooo convenient. I am so happy I got accepted. Min also got a job. We both turned our apps the same day on Thursday. Then we both got a call on Friday after school to work today (saturday. She worked 12-5 and I worked 5-10. Actually I worked until 11 because it got busy and we didn't have much time for cleaning up. The job is pretty easy, except it gets tiring to stand all day and say the same things over and over to customers because it is self-serve. But I am pretty happy. And the owners are really nice. I hope I can keep my job on for a long time.

I plan to just deposit money to save for senior year and the future. I just need to save money for all the money we spend senior year. Senior portraits, yearbooks, senior activities, senior trips, senior shirts, ETC. But I also get to keep tips!!! So the tips will go to the OTHER funds which is pretty much CLOTHES CLOTHES and food. I just need to learn how to manage my money.

I work on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday next week. I saw some kids from school today and Mickie came to see me with her boyfriend. She is same as ever though seems like she got skinner? And I noticed how SMALL she is but maybe that is cuz her boyfriend is super tall and huge. But it was nice to see her face, after HOW MANY YEARS actually? And Maggie came to visit too. I am probably going to see lots of Sheldon kids now. The place is pretty nice for a high school hangout. But the owner told me he got over 50 applications so I am sure they will find the right employees soon.

I AM SO TIRED. going to bed.

102°

i'm feeling down, from looking at all these cute people on "the official what did you wear today" thread, with their cute outfits.

but, tomorrow marissa is going to buy me strings!!! so that makes me kinda happy :) my obsession with friendship bracelets has simmered down... but i think that was only because i didn't have any strings to make them for a while! so after i get some this weekend, i'm probably going to make tons and tons and tons. aaghh! and then figure out how i'm going to present my junior project on monday.

confession: i like to take pictures of myself.
so, i've proposed to take on a project for myself, to both improve my photography and photoshop skillzzzz. i'll make the first post next time.

it really wasn't that hot today. i was sitting in the sun on the way home, when suddenly i realized how nice it felt to be sweating and hot. it was a very odd moment. but i somehow was awed.

life is sweet again.

I AM DONNNNEEEEE!!!!!
THE STRESS IS OVER.

Today was my last and final AP of junior year. I am very ecstatic. No more cramming, no more stress, no more sleepless nights. I am done. I took AP US History last Thursday, AP Chemistry yesterday (tuesday) and AP Lang and Composition today. I seriously believed AP Lang and Comp would be the hardest even though I am very good at English. Everyone was scared of what the prompts would be and if we would be able to write all three essays in 2 hours and 15 minutes. But I did it, I accomplished it. I honestly believed I passed all my tests (but if I just screwed myself by saying that, I will probably cry when I get that 2). I was actually pretty on it this year. I focused and studied (though I could have studied more for ap chem) so I think I will get the score I deserve. But I really don't see why colleges weigh APs more because AP tests are DEFINETLY harder fo'sho. I mean I've written a total of SIX ESSAYS in a FOUR HOUR TIME CONSTRAINT practically. APUSH was three essays in an hour and fifty-five minutes and AP LANG&COMP was three essays in two hours and fifteen minutes. For SATs, it is only one essay in 25 minutes and those SAT prompts are a piece of CRAP. YES A PIECE OF CRAP. Why the FUCK would I want to write an essay on abstract concepts like "courage" and "winning". Forget that crap.

Well Tuesday, after my AP Chemistry test, I seriously felt like my brain had melted away. The multiple choice wasn't bad but when I saw the first free response, I got depressed. I felt like giving up already but I did my best to do what I could. But lets just say I left quite a few blank. I was pretty depressed afterwards but Kingston and Angelo assured me I passed because they did just as bad as I did last year and still passed. But yeah I felt like serious crap afterwards. I was tired, did not want to learn and I was falling asleep. But today after my AP Lang test, I felt happy. BECAUSE IT WAS OVER!! I was really tired by the third essay though. I wrote pretty crappy because one, it was a crap prompt, and two, I just wanted to be done. I just wanted to be done with the whole thing so I just rushed and wrote whatever to get through it. But I think I did pretty damn well on my other essays that I can live if I get a five on that last opinion essay.

After the ap test today I went home early. My dad picked me and I just watched mindless tv for a couple hours. Then Min came over to swim. We swam for quite awhile, then Tiffany came over. We decided to go celebrate and go to El Super Taco. We shared Min's veggie burrito and nachos. It was good and I was full. Then I got a job application at the new Red Berry that just opened near our Safeway. Then we drove to this cool park and was climbing on these rocks and rope prism. Then went back to my house to swim some more. Tiffany had to leave at 6 but Min and I kept swimming till like 7. It was nice.

Three more weeks, and it is summer. I am pretty much done with summer. I don't care about anything else because my aps are over. Life is sweet.

Summer here I COME!!!!

not an obsession at all.

it's kinda ridiculous, that after today i thought life was just gonna be great, wonderful, fun, and gravy!

my thought's exactly:
"YAYYY!!! MAY 12TH, AND EVERYTHING'S OVER! NO MORE WORRIES ABOUT AP TESTS! NO MORE WORRIES ABOUT THE JUNIOR PROJECT! I'LL BE FREEEEE!!! IT'LL BE SUMMMMMERRR!!!"

too bad, that's not the case. atleast, not anymore.
of course i still have school to worry about... precalculus... presenting my junior project... finals. ugh. but today has just been sucky. i made my dad and my siblings wait for me after school for an hour, because ap tests took so long. and then when i got out just seemed depressed. turned out my cousin got suspended from school. but that's not the bad part. the bad part is that my dad's not going to have a job soon. *sigh* i want to cry. life's going to be so hard, and we're not going to have anymore money. how are we going to pay for this house? for our cable? for our phone bills? for gas? for insurance? for food? for clothes? for our old house? ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. my head hurts. my heart hurts. i'm worried now. i don't really know what's going on anymore. maybe my dad's just exagerating about everything, i dont know. i have a feeling though, that my mom's gonna be really mad when she gets home... and i dont feel up for that. i'm sick, and i've been sneezing and blowing my nose all day. blah. i dont feel like i want to do anything. i just ate two hot dogs with rice and now i feeel sick.

today is a bad day. but maybe it's not as bad as it seems? my dad told me he's not going to have a job soon, but he's still out and about doing his own things in the backyard. maybe it's really not that bad. maybe things will work out. of course everything's going to be okay, everything's almost always okay, no matter what, but i still worry.

i should've studied harder for my ap test. then i could've atleast passed it, since it wasnt even that difficult! my parents $84 wouldn't have gone to waste if i did. shame on me. i'm not even going to ask for a yearbook anymore. i don't deserve it. my homecoming royalty page, will just be lost in my highschool memories. but whatever, i don't care anymore. there are more important things.

today, when we stopped for gas, a lady asked my dad for a quarter so she could get a drink. he told her he only had $5 for gas. i realized that i didnt have a quarter either. then i thought back to the other day, to when i tried to save those rabbits my dad found, but only wound up making the whole entire situation worse, and most likely killing those two poor baby rabbits. (i wont go into details.) it sucks that we can't fix the world. it sucks that nobody's going to just wisk out of the sky and save us. i guess it's okay though. we are our own saviors. i'll just save myself, and whoever i can save, on the way. omg, now my mom is home, and mad.. and yelling.

ahhh!

happy momma's day

i usually think corny stuff are corny, but this one's cute:
(okay i lied. i always think corny stuff are cute. and i got this from josephine!)

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that
wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You
will have your heart broken probably more than once and
it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so
remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight
with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things
an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast,
and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too
many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never
been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset
is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. Don't be
afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

since i am poor. i made my mom two friendship bracelets for mother's day. i guess she likes it, since she's been wearing them for two days. i gave them to her on friday :) right now i am working on my junior project. i'm suuuper glad, that it's due tomorrow. it'll finally be oovverrrrr!!! my sister's bday party was yesterday and i didnt get to work on it at all. blah!

love, forever and ever and ever and ever and ever,

just do it.

Follow her words, just do it sometimes.

Though you can judge me from my blogs, where I rant about my pathetic nerdy life and the crap about the world, I do have fun. YES FUN!!! In person, I am kind of a crazy, loud person. Actually most of my friends are crazy, loud PEOPLE. Most of them. And I am kind of known to be cocky (in nerd ways though, im hellla ugly so i dont need to be proud about my loooks) and have that reputation as a crazy fun dancer? Like at senior ball, I pretty much danced with anyone and everyone. Though too bad, no one ever looks out for poor little me and I usually get caught. Yeah but actually I am not really one of those people afraid to not volunteer. At first I wont, but if no one does, I will go out and freaking answer the question in class or volunteer to be some dummy for the example for the teacher, it is okay I can make a fool out of myself. I really don't like it when people just get too scared for "being themselves" or just restrain themselves to protect themselves from the opinions of others. Just have a little confidence and just do it.

Anyways, here is my debrief on the AP US test. THANK GOODNESS IT IS OVER. One ap test down, two more to go. So I spent Tuesday and Wednesday with my study group at my house. On Wednesday we had an hour and half in Garcia's class after class to go over minimal things about the test and history and then we were at my house from like 5:30-7? We just went over anything we didn't know and took a practice test in our prep books. It was a good session, I felt good afterwards. That night, I kept waking up like every four hours. It was crazy. But I woke up early, crammed... a little I just looked up my Amendments as I was eating breakfast. I went to school, visited Garcia's class for his last words of wisdom (he had none) and went to take my test. The multiple choice was not that bad. I skipped 9 total. Though I was really tempted to guess but I knew I had to skip them. I skipped mostly ones to do with social people, books, etc. But I am confident on MC. BUT FR...I don't know. THE DBQ WAS SUPER EASY but I took too much time writing it because I knew soo much information on it. So I had to stop halfway and start my other two. I had like 25 minutes left to finish the DBQ and the conclusion of the last essay. So I wrote half an essay in like less than 15 minutes. I had two minutes to spare and I could barely look at my essays. I was so DONE! I am not confident on essays unlike last year where I was really confident on AP World History, but I am for SURE I passed with a 3. But I really want a four. I will be really disappointed if I don't get a four or five. I really would.

But yeah this weekend is like total nerdass weekend. I have study session for AP chem on saturday at SCHOOl then ap english at maggie's house. Freaking insane in the membrane. After WEDNESDAY, can you say PAAAARTAAAAY? I need some yog-yog to cheer me up.

one more day.

Tests represent fear-based learning, the opposite of learning based on desire.
-Colman McCarthy

Yesterday, I spent like four hours going over 150 years of US history with Karina, Michelle and Maggie. Hanh came and studied with us for an hour but she was pretty damn drained from her AP CAL test yesterday. Augh one more day till the AP US history test!! I think I am ready. But yeah I am pretty damn tired now. We studied from like 4-8. Then everyone left my house, I did my chores (my mother does not understand the "stress" I go through and I have no time for chores right now) and ate dinner. Then had to do my homework. Why do teachers not UNDERSTAND that we have ap tests and they shouldn't assign homework because we are all trying to CRAM. I fell asleep doing my homework, but I woke up and finished it. Then went to bad at like 11:30 but I couldn't even fall asleep. Then I woke up kind of late this morning, I was really tempted to ask my parents to let me sleep in first period. But they would say no..

I found this really cool website. It is one of those internet projects that get around blogs and the web and are done all over the world. People put all the stuff from their pockets, purses, etc and put in on their scanner and put their face on it. I wish I could do it, but my scanner is broken. And I probably would not have as much cool stuff as these peoples. Just random pieces of gross paper, post-its, pens that are not even usable anymore, etc.

Well yesterday, in one of those random spurts of relaxation or off topic discussion, we were whining about how life is hard and we have spent a majority of our life studying. And how we worry about when we will actually get time to enjoy life. Hanh wants to be a business major and she is like yeah I am going to be corporate ladder and carrying a baby at the same time. Where as, Karina and I are going into science/medicine area. Michelle is going to be a kickass lawyer, and Maggie is going to be an engineer. Power women yes. But man what a headache to think of. Do you think it is bad we take a year after high school? I think so because I want to finish college and graduate school before I TURN 30! But it is freaking crazy. We can't tell how time will go and if we will follow those career paths. We could be living in the country at age 25 and being farmer wives because we are sick of these high stressful lives. It is kind of sad. I think we have lost that kind of mindset where life is easy and happy. That is why I get really frustrated with those people who say things like they want to live in the country and live the simple life. I say "what why?", and I feel like a really dumb materialistic person but after seeing my parents, I really don't want to end up like them. I want to be happy and happiness can mean materialism.

Sometimes I wonder if we just make life sound harder than it really is.

Throw off your chains, students. You have nothing to lose but your backpacks.

bracelets, and tests, and clothes, OH MY!

aujourd'hui est cino de mayo!!!

i've been obsessed with making friendship bracelets these last few days. i've seen a few people at school making them since last year, but suddenly its everywhere! everyone's making them! and i've been sucked in too. ahhh, it's such a horrible time to be bumming around and spending useful time threading away at bracelets!!! :| but i do it anyway. myyy goodness.

i'm studying for my ap physics test of course, but i've decided that if i don't pass them, then that's just the way its going to be. and so, i'm going to place more concentration on my junior project... even though my ap test was $84! *s0bs*

today tommy gave me these fake rayban sunglasses he got for free from zumiez, when he went to turn in his job application. they were really cute :) although one side of the lens were scratched a little. but that's okay, because i love it anyways. after getting my eyes checked on friday by my optometrist, it turns out that i dont really need glasses afterall! (although i can get them if i want them-- he gave me a prescription) but my mom's not getting me any because they're way too expensive. oh well, one of these days i'll just go to the drug store and pick up a generic pair of cute emos in the pharmacy section. i saw these reeeaalllyyy cute yellow ones with colorful specks all over them, at rite aids last year. i wonder if they're still there...

i also forgot to mention that i FINALLY bought a polaroid!!! i got it from my wonderful, wonderful, wonderful photography teacher. he gave it to me for a buck... which i still havent paid him back for yet (i'm such a bum). but it's really nice. i got it about two weeks ago, or something like that, i just forgot to post about it. i'm sad that my photography teacher is retiring this year though! i was really looking forward to ditching class next year to visit him, like a lot of seniors this year like to do :( i'll miss that fella <3

(notice that in the pictures above, my arms are filled with friendship bracelets.)

on another note, SATs weren't that bad. i read the SAT book and really, all the advice it gave, is same stuff ck talked about in her post before me. i guess i'll sign up for SATs II then... and my ACTs. (oh my goooooddnesssss, this is soo much moneeyyyyyyy.)

i'm going to be so happy when summer is here!

except i've been neglecting my room. so i'm going to have a whole lotttaaa crap to clean up when all of this is over :| (and you havent seen my closet.)

SATS!!!

So today was my first time doing the SATS! Yes how exciting. After hearing all the horror stories from my peers who have taken SATs already, after watching all those crazy teen SATs movies, and after being scared for my life (not really), IT WAS NOT THAT BAD. Maybe I am just being cocky and stupid and I am probably going to get a really horrible score in like august but you know what, I think I did pretty okay. I cannot DISCUSS what exact questions that tripped me up (in case collegeboard finds me out and cancels my score -___-) but after taking my SATs, here are some tips that would help for future SATs takers.

tips on doing good on the SATS.
  1. go to sleep early. seriously, it is a freaking FOUR HOUR TEST and if you are not rested, you will be falling asleep. don't talk on the phone cramming with a friend until 12 am like i did. but i wasn't that tired.
  2. eat breakfast. hunger pains = HEADACHE. i went to mcdonalds before and ate a little meal. but yeah dont FILL yourself up too much because you don't want to think about going the bathroom while rushing through your test.
  3. bring water and tissues. my room was stuffy as hell and allergies everywhere, it was sick, good thing they had tissues but if they didnt, my sleeves would be all nasty and green. yeah yuck. and yeah you might get thirsty.
  4. dont stress too much. i was pretty chill about the whole test and a whole lot more confident and i did well because i was very relaxed. anxiety makes the test a whole lot harder.
  5. if time is the issue, just do all the questions you know without having to ponder for more than two minutes on. mark the ones you skipped, and go back. if you DO NOT KNOW IT AT ALL (especially on the math or the vocab on the english), just dont answer it. i had at least five or less skipped on each section. you don't have to answer all the questions but doesnt mean you cant guess. if you can eliminate, go with your gut feeling.
  6. for the essay, just think about your thesis for like a couple minutes and just WRITE. how the heck are they supposed to expect us to write a full length essay in 25 minutes? you dont have to be inspirational, just do like three or more paragprahs. and QUOTE people. specific outside evidence to support your argument = GOOOLD.
  7. for the english, look at questions first and see if you can answer any and then go read the paragraph. i actually had time to read the paragraphs but i always looked at questions first.
You don't need to spend a million bucks on an SAT class. I just saved you a million right there.

I am very thankful for my AP Lang&Comp teacher because she hella prepared me for taking multiple choices with COMPLEX passages in a time constraint. Those multiple choices for English were nothing compared to my AP class. In AP, half the time we are trying to answer multiple for passages we dont even know what the fuck are talking about. Yeah but I effed up my essay because THEY ONLY GAVE TWO PAGES to write on. I flip and I was like WTF WHERE ARE THE OTHER PAGES. I write too much. And I had like five minutes left so I kind of gave up... But it is okay. It was my first SAT so I wasn't too worried about it. I just want to see where my weaknesses and strengths are. The math wasn't as bad as I thought. But I still skipped more math questions than English for sure. I just hope I did really good on English. The time constraint was not that bad actually. I just hated how long it was and I had super bad allergies because my room was stuffy as hell. At least I had a friend in there to chill and talk with during the breaks.

I am very relieved that SATs are over (cept the SAT IIs in june for me) so now I can go full on study for APS!!!! AUGH. That shit is what scares me the most. How the heck are they supposed to judge how well we are qualified to be in a " college class " by making us answer like 75 multiple choice in less than an hour and write three ESSAYS in TWO HOURS?!!?!

Well now to get ready for Senior ball. I hope I can party all the stress out.

my horoscope for the week.

This is going to be a high-stress week. Be prepared for sudden changes to long-term plans, new faces on the scene, and general chaos. Keep a mineral-water spritzer in your bag at all times, as you'll want to keep looking fresh even when the pressure's on.
