life is sweet again.

I AM DONNNNEEEEE!!!!!
THE STRESS IS OVER.

Today was my last and final AP of junior year. I am very ecstatic. No more cramming, no more stress, no more sleepless nights. I am done. I took AP US History last Thursday, AP Chemistry yesterday (tuesday) and AP Lang and Composition today. I seriously believed AP Lang and Comp would be the hardest even though I am very good at English. Everyone was scared of what the prompts would be and if we would be able to write all three essays in 2 hours and 15 minutes. But I did it, I accomplished it. I honestly believed I passed all my tests (but if I just screwed myself by saying that, I will probably cry when I get that 2). I was actually pretty on it this year. I focused and studied (though I could have studied more for ap chem) so I think I will get the score I deserve. But I really don't see why colleges weigh APs more because AP tests are DEFINETLY harder fo'sho. I mean I've written a total of SIX ESSAYS in a FOUR HOUR TIME CONSTRAINT practically. APUSH was three essays in an hour and fifty-five minutes and AP LANG&COMP was three essays in two hours and fifteen minutes. For SATs, it is only one essay in 25 minutes and those SAT prompts are a piece of CRAP. YES A PIECE OF CRAP. Why the FUCK would I want to write an essay on abstract concepts like "courage" and "winning". Forget that crap.

Well Tuesday, after my AP Chemistry test, I seriously felt like my brain had melted away. The multiple choice wasn't bad but when I saw the first free response, I got depressed. I felt like giving up already but I did my best to do what I could. But lets just say I left quite a few blank. I was pretty depressed afterwards but Kingston and Angelo assured me I passed because they did just as bad as I did last year and still passed. But yeah I felt like serious crap afterwards. I was tired, did not want to learn and I was falling asleep. But today after my AP Lang test, I felt happy. BECAUSE IT WAS OVER!! I was really tired by the third essay though. I wrote pretty crappy because one, it was a crap prompt, and two, I just wanted to be done. I just wanted to be done with the whole thing so I just rushed and wrote whatever to get through it. But I think I did pretty damn well on my other essays that I can live if I get a five on that last opinion essay.

After the ap test today I went home early. My dad picked me and I just watched mindless tv for a couple hours. Then Min came over to swim. We swam for quite awhile, then Tiffany came over. We decided to go celebrate and go to El Super Taco. We shared Min's veggie burrito and nachos. It was good and I was full. Then I got a job application at the new Red Berry that just opened near our Safeway. Then we drove to this cool park and was climbing on these rocks and rope prism. Then went back to my house to swim some more. Tiffany had to leave at 6 but Min and I kept swimming till like 7. It was nice.

Three more weeks, and it is summer. I am pretty much done with summer. I don't care about anything else because my aps are over. Life is sweet.

Summer here I COME!!!!

oohhh trendy girl.

I love this song it is so catchy. Oh trendy girl....
I wonder if I am a trendy girl haha.

I just finished writing a SEVEN page paper on China's Influence in Darfur for AP English 11. I am tired but I think I did very well on that paper because I started at five and ended at like ten but took like hour and half break to watch America's Best Dance Crew. I am sad that Live in Color left but I think it was because they didn't really do anything different this week but their ending message was very emotional and I felt bad so I wanted to hurry up and get off stage so I could stop feeling bad for them losing. I finished my paper and NOW I have to stay up for at least a couple hours to study for my AP Chemistry mid-session tomorrow. I do not get a B+ on that test, I am probably going drop to a C. I failed my lab test. OMG and I have to finish my comp book because I didn't do anything. Then I have to do my stupid Spanish 3 homework. There are not enough hours in the day for a student. A lot of people procastinate of course and we can blame that but is it wrong to relax for a couple hours by not thinking about homework and school after just coming home from 7-8 hours of school. I ate some food after getting home and was taking a little nap but my mom yelled at me before she left to get up. Sigh. This whole week I haven't had any good sleep. I've been drained lately. I plan to sleep a lot SATURDAY!

I saw this soompi and I AM SO HAPPY AND EXCITED!!! KOREAN VERSION OF HANA YORI DANGO! Hahaha I hope I post this before PACHIA finds out. Pachia and I have been BIG BIG BIG FANS of Hana Yori Dango manga since we were in 8th grade. We beared through the ugly drawings of the first couple mangas and survived all 36 VOLUMES! I cannot tell you how much we love this manga and the Japanese drama. The Japanese drama pretty much made the manga came alive for me. I did not even attempt the Tawianese version after watching one episode. The girl who played Makino was like lifeless and cannot act to save her life. I am not sure how the Korean version will turn but I do know there is no doubt there is going to be a HOT F4 cast. There are plenty of Korean actors for a picking to make the perfect four flower boys. I hope they find the perfect Makino and
Domyoji and of course no cast is complete without a GREAT RUI! Actually I didn't really like Oguri Shun as Rui but I grew used to him. I don't think Ogrui Shun is suited for quiet, laid back roles. He is better as a comedic like in Stand UP! But Matsumoto Jun was cheesy but adorable in the end of HYD! But the mangaka writer is a big Hallyu (Korean wave) fan and she was really waiting to which company she wanted to pick to make the drama. She choose the company credited for making "Goong" and "Fantasy Couple". This could be the next GOONG hit if the right cast and script is put together.

(Volume 1 & Volume 36)

Korean Poster
(no one picked for cast yet)
Original Japanese Hana Yori Dango Cast
(I FREAKING LOVE THIS CAST)

The Cutest Couple in the World
(Makino + Domyoji)

RUMORED CAST
Makino Tskushi
(she wouldn't be too bad)

Tsukasa Domyoji
(way hotter than Matsumoto!
but how will he rock the afro that Domyoji HAS to have)

Rui
(omg..the PERFECT rui)

Though I wonder if the Korean drama can pull it off. Japanese mangas and Japanese drama have this cheesy silliness that is terribly cute and works only for Japanese people. When Koreans try to do that, they just look really dumb and cheesy.

its not over tonite

I just got finished writing my speech on my AP English research paper on China's Influence in Darfur and my speech is tomorrow. I think I am being too cocky thinking that I don't have to practice much but I really do love the subject I am talking about. For those who dont know, there is a genocide in Darfur going on. And where does China fit in? Well China contributes to seventy percent of Sudanese oil revenue (they buy oil from Sudan) who in return purchase Chinese weapons to finance a war against the non-Arabic people in Darfur. I read like 20 sources to fully understand the situation in Sudan and China's part in it. China has been targeted by international critics of protecting the Sudanese government in the UN because of China's position as a permanent member of the UN National Security Council. Though China has finally been able to pressure Sudan to allow UN peace troops to aid the African Union troops in Sudan, why now? Why not for the last five years that the UN has tried to pass a resolution to aid Sudan? Because of the 2008 Olympics. China wants to keep its prestige image as host by resolving the Sudanese problem and look good before the Olympics begin. I am not going to blab my whole speech and essay to you. My brain is already sick of it but I can spout off facts about the Darfur genocide on the top of my head, that is how full my brain is. I just hope I don't go over the five minute time because my speech is so long because it has so much info so I have cut it off so it will make barely 5 minutes.
I wish I could afford to be as lazy as this cat.

Today I skipped Tahitian practice to go to AP Chemistry tutoring. I really didn't want to go to tutoring because I have that nerd mentality where tutoring is bad but I went. Too bad I didnt really learn much because I actually understand acids and bases but I don't understand everything else. Sigh well I am going to tutoring for the next two days until the Midterm. Ahhh and then my research paper is due Friday and I still have like at least 3 hours worth needed on that paper to be polished. I am starting to hate school again. AHHH. The pressure is starting to get to me. again. well for junior prom. ticket bought. got dress. have shoes. no worries about makeup and hair. just need some extra money. but pretty much set. cept need to buy boutiner. im not super excited bout junior prom but it will be nice to have a break.

so for intermediate web design, we have been experimenting with a lot of web templates and our theme is food. and ive done cupcakes and i have been obessessed with food blogs now!!! I LOVE CUPCAKE BLOGS! they make such BEAUTIFUL cupcakes it is amazing. HOW DO THEY DO IT? like i said before, i want to make a cupcake shop. some cupcake blog was talking about these cupcake target finds which are pretty cute! look cupcake pillow.
i finally got to mixing a song for the korean fan dance but it is a really rough mix right now. i have to shorten the big bang parts and maybe add more parts to girl rock. and maybe add more to tell me too. hopefully i can get choregraphy done this weekend cuz i dont think i have any major plans. here is the rough mix of the whole song; it is too long also:

then here is the girl rock by itself. i hate how i put fade in beginning cuz it is sooo noticeable.

if anyone knows someone who can mix songs please TELL ME!! haha.

i am a noob at this so i did it bad.
hopefully figuring out the dance moves will be easier (doubt it).
and i have like fourteen girls do the whole thing. or even more.
well we have like two months to prepare... sort of.

opinions do matter.

Today in AP English 11, our teacher was cruel enough to be gone and have the substitute teacher give us one essay and two multiple choices. AUGH!! The prompt for the essay was talking about opinions in media, blogs, ordinary citizens, etc. Do these opinions matter and do these opinions foster democratic values?

I KILLED THAT SHIT! I think I did the best I've done so far (which isn't very good). But I was lucky that day because I discovered this wonderful site, Global Voices Online and it helped me a lot miraculously. This site is for bloggers to translate the words of other bloggers around the world in English. I thought it was amazing. They don't just talk about politics, they talk about EVERYTHING. It is really cool to read the opinions of a person living in Botswana (for example) or how some person in Japan feels about our 2008 Presidential candidates. I didn't even know they cared about who was our president.

Obama is hot even in Japan.

I found the site in first period (web design 2) with our free time since the play we were supposed to watch was canceled. So I started talking about how opinions do matter but my counterargument was that misinterpretations of opinion can lead to bad results. My counter was kind of weak. But I started talking about how recently Koda Kumi (japanese singer) said something in an interview :

"
The comment came on Tuesday night while Koda was hosting "All Night Nippon." The topic of her manager's marriage came up, and Koda was asked about when her manager was planning to have children. She made a seemingly light-hearted reply that "when women turn 35, their amniotic fluid goes rotten, so I'd like them to have a child by 35."

It sounds really stupid to me but the Japanese public were offended especially since the late Japanese princess had struggled to produce a heir at age 41. I wrote about that in my essay. Haha I am sure my teacher is kind of like what the heck but she is cool enough to accept it. And it is true. I think opinions really do sustain democratic values. Restricted democratic values = restricted opinions. Then for my argument I talked about the bloggers in Japan and other stuff. I made the conclusion in the last 2 minutes so it was really cheesy, something like:

"An opinion can change a thought, a mind, or a life. Opinions do matter."

The two multiple choice tests were freaking killer. My brain was dead at the end of the day. So I am doing luau for PIC (pacific islander's club) with Chrissa. It seems really cool. It was our first time going to their meeting and it was kind of weird but at the same time I felt comfortable. I only knew less than five people in there. But Mindy is one of the club officers so I felt comfortable with that. I think it will be really fun to try something new. And most of the members seems really nice and funny. It is nice to be involved with a fun activity when I am stressing about all these crazy classes.

OMG PACHIA's PROM IS TOMORROW :] lucky her.

mine is not until march 8th. a lot of time. haha. kind of.

love,
ck.
