YES WE ANOOP!

i wasn't even thinking of him, during those last few moments of american idol tonight. and then they said it. anoop dog. and i screamed...
i think anoop is the cutest guy everrr! (totally overstated, as i say that about every cute guy i see on television) but i'm so glad that the judges picked him :) <-- yes that is a smile on my face. he's just so cute and there's something about him that makes me like him so much. i mean there are tons of other contestants with really good voices, probably even better voices than him, but i just love this guy. he's my guyyyyyy! i think i'm going to be rooting for anoop all season; depending on whether or not he gets through tomorrow, but... he'll always live a ma coeur!

i was supposed to be finishing off those cartoon faces of us for yearbook, but i got really sidetracked yesterday when i decided to update my myspace with pictures of patrick dempsey (because josephine and i were talking about how amazingly sexy he is, after school). and yeah, he's prettyy sexy. i don't know why my mom and my boyfriend just don't see it. he's a sex-god. which probably sounds really weird coming from me, but his attractiveness kinda reeeks from my mind, if i'm making myself clear. even though i truly did not like how his character ended up in "Can't Buy Me Love"-- which was my christmas gift from kristina (thanks ily :)-- i thought he was still really sexyy.

(his wife is really pretty too...):

my parents finally bought a wireless adapter for our new computer, which has probably been sitting unused for two months, and i'm having tons of fun on it. they also went all out and bought my little brother and sister their own nintendo ds'! so we have two, and i'm obsessed with the touchpad messaging. we started Pride & Prejudice today in literature, and i'm excited for it. and also today pavoua brought her baby turtles to school so that we could see them, and they were extremely adorable. i wish that i had had my camera with me. their names are hidey and traveler and they were sooo tiny. i imagined the scene in statistics today was somewhat like that new burger kings commercial for their mini burgers. "they're so aah-dooor-ablee." i want a baby turtle, but i'm scared that my big turtle just might eat it or kill it. plus i don't have a big enough tank for both turtles, and i would want toto to have a friend if i got another turtle, so i will just wait to see how the future turns out.

courtney's birthday was on sunday and i've been planning on making her some cupcakes all week, but every night i've been putting it off, because i've had so much crap to do this week. i think i will make her some this weekend. plus my momma's birthday is this weekend, so i'll make her something tooooo! i love bakerella.blogspot.com; it's amazing!

these are the cuppycakes i made marissca paaaablo. who got a really cute tattoo this past weekend on her foooot :D

i made some extra ones too :) pour ma mere and mon petit!

cheeeer up.

the economy is so bad, yet Americans are still going about their business, as if nothing is wrong. i guess i am guilty of that too, except i have this constant voice in the back of my head that keeps me a little worried everytime i purchase something totally unnecessary. i'm pretty sure the country's not gonna go broke dead, like back in the depression days, if our economy crisis gets out of hands-- but still, i am worried. i guess sometimes i worry a little too much though. i think its unhealthy.

school is so not as stressing as i invisioned it to be. however, it is still stressing! i'm not pulling my hair out of my brains yet, but i think i'm managing fine, seeing as how i still have the ability to procrastinate and get away with it. well, i can't say that yet, because i havent really gotten any grades back yet-- except my psychology test, which i got a D on. but the majority of class got D's... so i guess i'm on the right track. you can't blame me though! i've got 5 AP classes! and i really didnt think that was really that impressive or shocking, until i started telling people, and everyone gave me the impression of it being impressive and shocking! yay. i for once dont feel stupid. whooooooo. i'm still worried though. worried, worried, worrrrrieddd!

pheeeewwwwwwwwwww. so i guess i'm going to start typing slower now. i've really been rushing with everything these past few weeks! would anyone like a chihuahua by the way? we have accumulated too many dogs over the past few years, and we really no longer have time to take care of them anymore :( so if anyone's interested in adult chihuahua's, i have a few. REALLY!! i'm just looking for good homes for them! HELP ME OUT! there's no charge. and i'm getting desperate, because REALLYYY, i don't have time to take care of them anymore, and they need to get to good homes. i'd appreciate it, if you know anyone who's interested in chihuahuas, and you pass this information to them :) they're so incredibly sweet and cute.

i don't want to make this blog a reaaalllyy long one, but i havent blogged in so long, and i have so much to update on! well, let's just keep this short. i got my camera in! it's amazing, and i love it-- i've been taking pictures of everything! my birthday was freaking amaaazing. i've discovered a crazy love for baking. my senior project's gonna be on cooking (that's not official yet though).

today i went to the flea market. and there really wasn't anything that great. i got this cute indian bracelet/ring (or so my mom says-- that it's indian) and some yellow nail polish! then i came home to work on my yearbook "about me" and now after this i'm probably going to cook dinner and study for french...

ahh, i feel so sad thinking now, about how summer's over. i saw some of my co-workers at the flea market today, and i saw my kids at the Hmong Family Healthy Day picnic yesterday. i miss being a kid. this is gonna be my last year and the world is so crazy these days. ahhhh. that just means that we gotta cherish every moment, and savor all the good times. i mean look at my grandparents and my parents! they were in the middle of a war, and look at how far they've come. yes, you just gotta cherish every moment. and cheer up :)

salut, salut!

its not over tonite

I just got finished writing my speech on my AP English research paper on China's Influence in Darfur and my speech is tomorrow. I think I am being too cocky thinking that I don't have to practice much but I really do love the subject I am talking about. For those who dont know, there is a genocide in Darfur going on. And where does China fit in? Well China contributes to seventy percent of Sudanese oil revenue (they buy oil from Sudan) who in return purchase Chinese weapons to finance a war against the non-Arabic people in Darfur. I read like 20 sources to fully understand the situation in Sudan and China's part in it. China has been targeted by international critics of protecting the Sudanese government in the UN because of China's position as a permanent member of the UN National Security Council. Though China has finally been able to pressure Sudan to allow UN peace troops to aid the African Union troops in Sudan, why now? Why not for the last five years that the UN has tried to pass a resolution to aid Sudan? Because of the 2008 Olympics. China wants to keep its prestige image as host by resolving the Sudanese problem and look good before the Olympics begin. I am not going to blab my whole speech and essay to you. My brain is already sick of it but I can spout off facts about the Darfur genocide on the top of my head, that is how full my brain is. I just hope I don't go over the five minute time because my speech is so long because it has so much info so I have cut it off so it will make barely 5 minutes.
I wish I could afford to be as lazy as this cat.

Today I skipped Tahitian practice to go to AP Chemistry tutoring. I really didn't want to go to tutoring because I have that nerd mentality where tutoring is bad but I went. Too bad I didnt really learn much because I actually understand acids and bases but I don't understand everything else. Sigh well I am going to tutoring for the next two days until the Midterm. Ahhh and then my research paper is due Friday and I still have like at least 3 hours worth needed on that paper to be polished. I am starting to hate school again. AHHH. The pressure is starting to get to me. again. well for junior prom. ticket bought. got dress. have shoes. no worries about makeup and hair. just need some extra money. but pretty much set. cept need to buy boutiner. im not super excited bout junior prom but it will be nice to have a break.

so for intermediate web design, we have been experimenting with a lot of web templates and our theme is food. and ive done cupcakes and i have been obessessed with food blogs now!!! I LOVE CUPCAKE BLOGS! they make such BEAUTIFUL cupcakes it is amazing. HOW DO THEY DO IT? like i said before, i want to make a cupcake shop. some cupcake blog was talking about these cupcake target finds which are pretty cute! look cupcake pillow.
i finally got to mixing a song for the korean fan dance but it is a really rough mix right now. i have to shorten the big bang parts and maybe add more parts to girl rock. and maybe add more to tell me too. hopefully i can get choregraphy done this weekend cuz i dont think i have any major plans. here is the rough mix of the whole song; it is too long also:

then here is the girl rock by itself. i hate how i put fade in beginning cuz it is sooo noticeable.

if anyone knows someone who can mix songs please TELL ME!! haha.

i am a noob at this so i did it bad.
hopefully figuring out the dance moves will be easier (doubt it).
and i have like fourteen girls do the whole thing. or even more.
well we have like two months to prepare... sort of.

obsessions, inspirations, and everything in between.

This post is probably going to be picture loaded because pictures = 100000 words. And yes I would like to talk about the The Other Boleyn Girl also. I read one of the books from the same other and Pachia recommended me The Other Boleyn Girl. And yes Pachia you do have my book. I forgot about that too. I did like the book (minus all the sex). We were only young little eighth graders and we read that book haha. I was really obsessed with Queen Elizabeth and her time period. I guess the part that King Henry VIII having so many wives was so fascinating. I read a bunch of books on his wives or his daughters at the time. I was obsessed with the story about when Elizabeth and Bloody Mary her sister were young . I didn't really like who they picked to be Anne Boleyn and Mary Boleyn because Scarlett Johannsan and Natalie Portman what I had pictured. Anne is supposed to have BLACK HAIR! And I didn't really see Mary with blonde hair. I think they should have switched the actresses but dyed their hair because Scarlett seems better as a more "evil" girl. But watching the trailer, Natalie is quite good as a Anne Boleyn but I don't think Scarlett suits as Mary.

I love the dresses they are wearing. It is so elegant and not too form fitting but gives them a nice figure. I really like the silver for Scarlett's dress.
I was going to put these pictures back awhile ago but forgot but YES GOSSIP GIRL IS COMING BACK in April. Thank goodness the writer's strike is OVER!!!!!

What makes me laugh is that they did the photoshoot for a gay magazine. Haha. But man those guys are SEXY. Though I am totally not going for the scruffy look that Chace (Nate) is sporting.

So what I am really obsessed about and always will be is FOOD. The Food Network channel is on 24/7 for me. I love Dinner Impossible and Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives! My dream is to go on a road trip across America and stop at a diner in every state. Who wants to go? My dad gets disgusted by American food and he says it is too greasy but him and my mom always watch the Korean channel about food. That is good too. So Pachia and I alway had this little dream back in middle school that we would open up a little shop where people could read mangas (think of the Borders' manga section where all the kids are sitting and reading for free, but x100 bigger) and then a little bakery/cafe next door. We were really obsessed with reading mangas back then. But yeah I still keep that little business idea in the back of my head. We could always add a place to watch dramas too. :] But I get more inspired with these pictures of a cupcake place in Malaysia. IT IS SO CUTE! I remember back when I was watching Coffee Prince and it made me want to open a little coffee place. Not just a typical Starbucks but a really nice coffee place with REAL baristas with GOOD coffee all the time.

Isn't that the cutest thing ever? If only I could bake. Hah, I'll just hire Min because she makes the best cupcakes! Looking at little cute pictures like that make me happy. Oh so I go to a lot of fashion blogs and sites that are very eceltic and inspiring. I notice that a lot of them like to make inspiration boards which are always beautiful. Well I thought I didn't really have an "inspiration" board but last winter I did a fashion collage on my wall. My little sister helped me and it took like three nights to finish. I didn't do my whole room because that would have been too chaotic and it would hurt my eyes. It turned out pretty good but I kind of want to tear it down and put new ones. My sister copied my idea and tore out other pictures that I didn't tear out from our magazines and her wall looks more cuter than mine now because she spaced out her pictures! I wish I had a photo of it but I don't.

Here are some cute inspiration boards I found online:

Here is pictures of my collage on my walls:

Vogue has the best pictures to pull out of course. And no I did not just slap it together. I carefully picked out each picture and thought about where to place to make it fun but creative. The first day, I started in the middle and spanned out then went to bed. The next day, it was hard to start because I LOST INSPIRATION and then I started to slap it together kind of. It turned pretty well I guess. Later on I took a bunch of funny pictures from my childhood and our family photos and put them on the top because I had space on the top. I kind miss the days of regular cameras, not digital cameras. With the age of digital cameras and plastering your pictures online all the time, we tend to want to have pictures with perfection. Even if you are being silly, you are still trying to take "cool" pictures. I like the days of simple film where there were negatives. And looking back at those pictures, the negatives are the best pictures. The pictures where you look really dorky with your mouth open and your eyes close or when you are seen actually enjoying what you were doing when you were photographed. It is sad to say that a lot of people care about having fun just so they can show off online instead of actually enjoying what they are doing and not caring about pictures. I do it all the time and it gets tiring sometimes. Sigh the world of myspace and facebook and everyone aspiring to be photographers.

But I do have fun just taking silly pictures with my friends. I tend to like to take silly pictures instead of perfect pictures. I don't like taking pictures were we are all trying to look hot and sexy. I feel really uncomfortable because I am not photogenic at all. That is why I am not really into taking pictures of myself. By avoiding the camera and the mirror, I don't have to see my physical flaws. Haha. Silly me.

Oh so I cleaned the house this weekend so I can go to jr prom but my parents are still dangling the possiblity of me not going. Hah. I always go in the end so no worries. Well I actually have a dress now. Well actually my mom has had it for a couple years because she bought it for a wedding awhile back. I remember my mom not looking good in the dress (sorry mom) but I tried it on (without my mom not knowing heehee) and I actually LIKE IT. It is really nice. Though it wasn't what I pictured and it is a long dress. I actually don't look short and I actually look skinny. YEAHHH. It is similar to this.
But I think the gold is a bit darker? and more shimmery. The v-cut is similar but it has straps instead. I like it a lot. AND I HAVE GOLD SHOES! But isn't gold and gold too much?
