yes, i've become so obsessed with makeup tutorials on youtube, that i've now made my own! it's silly and unprofessional--because i really know nothing about makeup, but i made it anyways to pass the time :D

what is happening to the world?

I was just watching What Would You Do? on ABC. It is this show where certain crazy situations are set up and hidden cameras and you get to see people's reactions. The first part of the episode I saw was about illegal immigrants. They set up an actor acting as a racist bigot behind the counter of a cafe and he has to serve to two Mexican workers. The Mexican workers only speak Spanish and they are trying to ask other customers to help them order. The guy behind the counter mocks them or he says "speak english!" or tells them they should go back to their country, they are here illegally, etc. It is absolutely appalling right? Well in the beginning, a lot of customers AGREED with the RACIST BIGOT behind the counter. One guy even told the workers they should just leave before he calls the police. And he was African-American. You would think he has had his fair share of discrimination that he would not want to see others treated the same way. But no, he is angry at them for not being able to speak a language. So these customers treat the workers this way, the reporter comes out and asks them WHY did they react that way. Some people responded that "oh they are here illegally, they are taking jobs away, etc". Blah, bull crap. Well the African-American guy said the same thing and he was personally angry that illegal immigrants are taking away jobs. But after half an hour of watching others do the same thing he did, he said he realized what he did was wrong and he would apolgize to those guys. Well, nice to know someone realized the wrong. But not everyone tolerated the actor's racism. Some people yelled at him, some told him how wrong he was, etc. A lot were so appalled they become emotional. It was really interesting to see the image of a good American heart.



Well during the show, the reporter took an actual Mexican labor worker, an illegal, to watch the hidden cameras with the crew. His story was that he wakes up at 5 am every day to walk two hours to stop where he waits with other Mexican men, hoping for a car to pick them up for a job. I am not unfamiliar with those kind of stops. We have them in Sacramento. I've seen the large lines of Mexican men. My dad has even been there to pick guys up to help us move houses. Well watching how ignorant and mean people were being, the labor worker said he was very sad and he almost wanted to cry. He said how sad it was for people to not see that they were human beings and how hard they worked. It was really sad. I was bawling when he was talking about it.

I was so appalled about how mean people can be and I would really hate myself if I ever acted that way. About 88 people walked in the store. 49 DID NOT HELP the MAN. 9 of those 49 agreed with the man behind the counter. 39 however, helped the Mexican guys. I know sometimes when we are scared of being put in an awkward situation or scared of talking to people who don't know English, we can act angry or ignore the problem, but we should not be afraid to help others. We really should not. We can not complain about the ignorant if we ourselves ignore the comments of the ignorant.

A show premiering today that I am absolutely amazed about is Homeland Security USA. It documents what goes on for border patrol and international airports. It really gives the American people an eye to what they have been complaining about. It shows the heroes of the USA who do not get recognized, who risk their lives, and who have to deal with so much crap. People should stop complaining about the border patrol because they do a lot more than you think. The show showed a lot of people trying to smuggle drugs into the country. Another was capturing some people trying to smuggle people into the country. there was this stupid Asian guy who was coming back from Mexico HOLDING marijuana pipes at the airport. He could not bring them to America and he was like "so will someone pay for it? can i just put it in my bag?". Such a dumbass. He was like man I should have just put it in my pocket. The officiers were like then you would have been fined for smuggling. But overall, I really enjoyed the show. It was pretty cool. ABC, Tuesdays at 10 pm. WATCH IT!!!

I had just saw this article on aol.com (my mom's homepage for some reason) and it made me think how bad this economic recession is. It is really a GLOBAL DEPRESSION. The article was about how a German billionaire suicided by stepping in front of a train over his financial losses. He isn't the first European billionaire to suicide. It makes me think that this is not such an easy fix. And I get mad when I see Donald Trump on tv, trying to promote how people can get rich off of this recession. That is the reason we are in a recession, so many people trying more than their share. It is ridiciulous. Screw you Donald Trump! you and your stupid comb over.

On a happier note, I watched Mamma Mia with my sister over break and I am addicted to the soundtrack. The movie was not my taste. I think it was more for old people to me. It was more of a Meryl Streep-Pierce Brosan romance that was thoroughly gross for me. They are old. Well Meryl Streep is old... Pierce Brosan is still a hottie for his age. But I LOVE the songs. Especially Amanda Seyfried's voice. She is amazing.

I love/hate how there are so many talented people on youtube. My friend showed me this one girl who can really rock the ukulele. Her videos make me feel happy. This is a cute video. She is talented.

I am trying to achieve my new year resolution. Looking back at the posts, we have gotten lazy. I want to make this blog fun again. Instead of complaining about my life! haha.

how i waste my summer days.

This is how my life has been for the past three months: home-work-home-work-home-home. Sometimes a few instances where I actually go out but my regular schedule is just staying home and blowing my mind out with mindless summer re-runs, youtube videos, regular internet activities, and reading blogs/making blogs.

So here is a glimpse of my daily entertainment:
youtube. so the people who i subscribe to are kevjumba (LOVE THIS GUY!), ndtitanlady, ninjadros, wongfuproductions. and then i just watch whatever i come across or friends recommend. the other day while browsing through my bookmarked list of blogs, i came across this hilarious youtube series, blogged by iliketoforkmyself. so i guess some korean guys (from korea of course) made a site where they actually teach you how to "bokko" dance which is the dance style koreans used to dance in clubs in like late 90s. i like it better than the wannabe "sexy" style they try to do in clubs now.

I would like to mention, I FREAKING LOVE how they have such serious faces and are so in synch. That takes really effing talent man. My goal is to show off some bokko moves in the club when I turn of legal age.

I love vloggers. They bring up entertaining subjects that we all randomnly think about. Watch what he says about the "sneeze-fart".

Who doesn't love a little KEVJUMBA? This guy is awesome. Though I have some feelings he has some internal issues about chicks. I feel sorry for his dad.

television. of course i am addicted to all those old summer reruns on tv. especially fresh prince of bel-air, roseanne, and george lopez on nick at nite. I was never really into Fresh Prince of Bel-Air until my brother started watching it and he would never let me change the channel and so I started watching and WOOOOOW. WILL SMITH IS FREAKIN HILARIOUS. And I know it is not just because of the script, he makes the show FREAKING AMAZING. Props to that man. He is clearly talented. If I can still laugh at jokes made back in the '90s, it is still hilarious. And this move made me almost piss my pass.

------------random rants about tv shows
So I finally watched the last episode of Avatar: The Last Firebender. Yes I am a nerd, but I really like that show though I was not a consistent follower. For an ending, it was so-so. Pretty typical ending but the journey through that episode was exciting. I was getting really into. I thought it was pretty nice how Ang did not kill the Firelord but just took away his powers...whoo what a surprise! I feel kind of an idiot to not think about that option. I felt really bad for Azula when she was going crazy and lost. It was pretty sad. Anyway, I have a feeling it is not the "end" because what the heck happened to Zuko's mom? And what kind of monk is Ang if he gets to kiss a girl? All sorts of confusing!!!

And I AM OUTRAGED THAT MICHAEL SIMON IS REPLACING ROBERT IRVINE FOR DINNER IMPOSSIBLE !!!!! I love Dinner Impossible but it is only good with a British accent and huge muscles! Who the heck is Michael Simon. Some nobody who won Iron Chef. I love Dinner Impossible...I cannot watch it with some guy with no accent. I am not sure if the new guy will make food enjoyable for me again.

I finally finished one portion of my summer work. I finished reading The Stranger, and I will talk about in another post. It made me think about my opinion about the death penalty. So thanks for reading another blab post thrown together.
