I went to San Francisco last thursday to watch a play with my HISP class! We have a San Francisco trip almost every year (except for sophomore year-- so that ruined it) and every year we also have our little stop-at-the-Golden-Gate-Bridge-Park-for-lunch routine, which is always nice, before we go to the play. I took some pictures but not a lot. Some i stole off of melanie's facebook.
this year we went to watch "Rock and Roll" written by Tom Stoppard. It was about communism and Czechoslovakia and rock and roll (of course) and Cambridge and Jun and socialism and Syd Barret. That was mostly all i got out of it... i didn't really get it. neither did the rest of my classmates, so i'm not alone. but for some reason, i still thought the play was good.
aside from this play, i really havent done any cultural events yet! which is actually really bad, because the quarter is ending on halloween day and i need to have three cultural events to turn in! i havent even done anything that i can atleast lie and say was a cultural event, although of course i've never done that before, you guys.... i'm going to an Alice in Wonderland Ballet this Thursday, so i think that'll be good. hopefully i can find something to do. maybe i'll finally go to the crocker art museum. i've actually never been there. SN&R is a saver, i was looking through one today, and they have tons of advertisements for events! they also have a nasty personal section too, tsk, tsk.
