HARRY POTTER MANIAAAAAAAA!!!!!

oh my freaking goodnessssss!!!!!

The teaser trailer for the sixth Harry Potter movie is out. I am simply AMAZED that the movie is going to come out this year. But that also means it could be a "rushed movie" for it to come out so soon. I was not the biggest fan of the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince so I am not sure how I will like the movie. From the trailer, I am already a litte disappointed. I see it may have more focus on Voldermort's story. And I still don't like the new Dumbledore (well he isnt so new anymore). I really need to reread the last couple books to really remember and digest them.

When the last seventh book came out, Pachia and I actually went to one of those crazy Border parties the night before. It was pretty chaotic but a VERRRY interesting experience. But we were dumb enough to forget to pre-order the book so we ended up leaving at 1 am without a book but bought it the next day. As we were leaving, some guys were trying to sell the books outside of Borders, only five dollars higher (how stupid...). We were like "nawwww" but as we were in the car, Pachia said she wished she had asked to at least HOLD the LAST HARRY POTTER BOOK. Haha, good times. I read the seventh book in one night (from 12pm to 6am the next morning). It was pretty intense. I even went jogging after that with two of my friends, that morning, even without the sleep.

I started reading Harry Potter in second grade. My mom went and bought because she saw the big craze on the news so she wanted to know why the big hype. My mom read them also, but she stopped at book four. But I was pretty into them. I wasn't a super crazy fan, but close enough. One Christmas, I got a whole bunch of Harry Potter crap like a Hedwig stuffed owl, board games, a couple tee shirts, all that nerdy stuff. No matter how much my peers thought Harry Potter was "gay" as I got older, I still defended my love for Harry Potter books. I practically grew up alongside Harry, Hermornie, and Ron. They were around the same age as me when I first started reading them. And the movies, oh my goodness. They were more than I could imagine. They were like the perfect reflection of what I imagined while I read the books. I think the first three movies (and books) were the best. I used to reread the Harry Potter series every summer (back in my elementary days), from book one to the latest book.

One summer when the fourth book came out, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (that was a great book!!!), my cousins from Washington were visiting. I think I was in...fourth grade? fifth grade? Well my mom went to Costco with my cousins to go buy the book and grocery shopping, and my mom came back and said that they ran out of books. Well she was actually lying to me (and of course my cousins thought it was soooo funny ;[), and I was very very depressed. I wanted to CRYYYYY!! Well my aunt came later that day (she had just flown in) and she had bought presents for me and my cousins, she bought two Harry Potter books, one for me and one for my cousin! Well later my mother was the one feeling like a FOOOOOOL because she also had bought two Harry Potter books, one for me and one for her. So now I actually have THREE books of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Here are some pictures from the upcoming movie for you to drool over.

Over the years, I have fallen more in love with Ron, Rupert Grint. He is just too cute. I am not big fan of Daniel Radcliffe. He was much cuter when he was younger, but as he got older and his different hairstyles, I always felt a bit "ehhh" about him. But Rupert Grint has always been cute.

I am looking forward to the movies because that is all that is left. No more books, only movies. :( I will be very sad when the Harry Potter chapter of my life is gone. I hate it when a good series comes to an end. I will honestly feel depressed about it for a long time.

fro-yo crazy.

So my boss wants me to make the website for Red Berry, the place I work at, which happens to be a frozen yogurt joint. I have taken web design and intermediate web design and I have sufficient skills to make a nice website, though I think I lack creativity. Well Min, my friend and co-worker took the photos of our yogurt and the interior of our little place.

So in Sacramento, frozen yogurt has taken storm. But unlike usual places in San Diego or L.A. where frozen yogurt is full service, our frozen yogurt places are usually self-serve. YES YOU DO IT YOURSELF!!! Before working at Red Berry, I had a couple experiences at other yogurt joints but I was not a frequent customer to any particular yogurt place. I liked the idea of doing it yourself but I wasn't a big fan yet. Red Berry opened in late May, by Safeway that is two minutes practically from my home and I applied with Min and we were lucky enough to get a job. Well since I have been working there since practically the opening, I know the business in and out. And I eat yogurt practically every day (when working) and I am addicted/sick of it.

Here are some lovely pictures of our dear place:

Our logo (on the wall)

the machines

area where we have the fresh fruit, mochi, chocolate bars, etc
(YES THEY ARE FRESH, we cut them EVERYDAY)

our cool ikea chairs and our variety of toppings

just some examples of our yogurt.

I am a yogurt connoisseur after working for Red Berry for so long (two months?). I think our yogurt is pretty damn good though. And the variety of toppings leave endless choices to change it up each time. Personally I like granola, mandarin oranges, Nabisco cracker crumbs, thin mint cookie grind and lots of butterscotch and hot fudge sauce with my cheesecake frozen yogurt or cheesecake/cookiesncreme swirl yogurt. IT IS PURE SINFUL HEAVEN! Though I get too caught up in trying too many toppings and it ends up in a crunchy mess, with not enough yogurt to spread it out. But still, it is good either way.

waiting for the time.

Yesterday I finished DoReMiFaSoLaTiDo, a Korean movie, that I have been wanting to watch for awhile. It is actually based off of a fanfic by this famous fanfic writer, Guiyeoni, in Korea. She is famous enough to have her own wikipedia page. Three of her fanfics were made into movies. One of her fanfics was made into one of my favorite Korean movies ever, A Wolf's Temptation. Only in Korea and Japan you can get success as a fanfic writer and get your mediocre fanfic prose made into books and movies. Genius IDEA! I would love to do that but I have too much respect for literature.

Well as a movie, I thought it was pretty mediocre. I had read a little of the original fanfic but never got to finishing it. I got the basic dramatic Korean storyline (two guys fighting over one girl) but the movie didn't transition situations very well and was SUPER vague. Even though fanfics (which are horribly written and all driven by teenage girl fantasy) are also pretty vague (plus overly dramtic, unrealistic, but still too damn addicting to stop), I expected it COULD have been a good movie if directed right. The cast was not all that bad and I AM VERY MUCH IN LOVE WITH JANG GEUN SEOK (main guy) more now. Though I wouldn't say the couple had very much chemistry, it was still cute. Both male leads were INCREDIBLY good looking, of course.

Two best friends (who happen to like same girl!)

Brother and sister (she is the girl the guys are fighting over...)

THE LOVELY COUPLE!!!
(he is sooooo cute <3)

I am too lazy to explain the storyline because if I did I would pretty much give it away. So if you are so interested, go download the movie.

And here is the song from the trailer and in the movie.

I remember first seeing Jang Geun Seok in the drama Hwang Jini. He was just as cute then too. He has become pretty famous since hitting Hwang Jini and starring in Hong Gil Dong. He is pretty talented and dammmmn cute with his lovely baby face. He sings, he acts, he even PLAYS guitar, and im sure he can dance. I feel like fangirling for hours about him.

Well there is my little "review" (not really) for the movie. If you watch it, tell me how you like it. Here is another song from the movie.

senior portraits!

i had to take pictures of the pictures with my camera phone, because as you all know, i dont have a camera anymore and unfortunately my scanner is not working either.

they're not very great pictures, so you will just have to excuse me for that. hopefully i can post these up, if not, i'll just take them down. but i think im only going to be able to buy about one or two portraits. its so expensive! one 8x10 is already $40-$60!! soo, tell me which one you like. and what you think, overall. i was super disappointed after the photoshoot, but i guess most of the pictures turned out okay. okayy, now i got to go watch hmong movies with my family.

ck's taking her senior portraits soonn :D

lav, lav, lav <3>
PACHIA

catching up!

so today i was supposed to go to lien's concert party at her house, but instead i had to go to stockton for a family event! i feel bad, because she called me, but i missed her call and then only texted her back. i'm sure it was a blast though. and besides, hanging out with the fambam in stockton wasnt all that bad. i actually enjoyed it :) i took tons of pictures with my two very cute twin cousins, mandy and melanie... but i uploaded them all onto my facebook and am simply too lazy to upload them on here. i cant just upload a few either, because i really love all of them, and to see one you have to see all of them! or else it just wont work, haha :) but i guess i will spice up my post with just a couple of my favoritessss.

yes, i know. they are adorable. and yes i know. i look a tad bit grossss. but thats because it was freaking hotttt, and i was sweating all day in my jeans.

anyways, to catch up, all i've been doing that is eventful enough to talk about, is watching this thai drama with my family (or i should use the word lakorn). my dad got the lakorn from one of his students at summer school, who recommended it, and my family's been hooked all week. we watched more than half of the lakorn without subtitles on the tapes that the girl in my dad's class let us borrow.. however, since i am soo smart, i did a little research and found the whole thing online with subtitles!!! thank goodness for google and crunchyroll :D it was really that easy too, haha. all i did was type in "thai dramas" on google, and it showed up on one of the first links that popped up.

so i discovered that it was called "Defendant of Love" or "Jam Loey Rak" and was actually a quite recent and popular lakorn. we just finished it tonight actually, just right before i decided to stop watching random first episodes of all the dramas that i've always wanted to watch on crunchyroll-- yeah i never realized how freaking amazing crunchyroll really is, ahhhhhh! :D i can watch anything, anytime, anywhere, anyhow, anywho, anyyyyaayy! yeah, im a little sugar high and can't go to sleep. let me go find nice pictures of the lakorn. i thought it was okay. some moments were reallyy suuperrr cheesy but i was still overall intrigued. the plot is wayy to complicated to explain. let's just say, its about revenge and love and lust and happy endings for the good people, sad endings for the bad people.

ummm.. more things that i can blog about, but will just mention:

  • ABSOLUTE BOYFRIEND DRAMA IS OUT!!!! what?!?!! i didn't even knowwwww. see how out of it i've been? and its already over.
  • my senior portraits came in today, but i'll try scanning and posting them tomorrow, because theres something wrong with my scanner.
  • i wonder if the korean HANA YORI DANGO IS OUT YET?!?!??!?!
  • crunchyroll is so amazing.
  • does anybody want to buy miniature doberman puppies? they're super cuuute :)
  • tommy's going to be in fresno for the whole week :( and i miss him already.
  • this week is my last week of work.
